Support Local Marketplace
We created the Support Local Marketplace in response to COVID-19 in an effort to support small businesses. It started with a website for just one neighborhood in Seattle, and grew to include a variety of other neighborhoods, cities, and states. At its peak Support Local had 30+ marketplaces across the nation with over 6,000 products uploaded by independent businesses.
About the Support Local Platform
Support Local connects consumers and small businesses through an online neighborhood marketplace.
It is incredibly easy for small businesses to use, giving them the opportunity to sell online, even if they’ve never had an online store.
The marketplace platform is a one-stop-shop where small businesses can upload and promote their products, services, or takeout/delivery offerings – and even open up a virtual tip jar. For the community leader that was implementing, it helped stretch marketing dollars further by driving traffic to one website/URL.
